Pakistan Army, on Saturday, established a free medical treatment camp to cater to the far-flung areas of Gishkor and Kooli in district Awaran, Balochistan.
A press release by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claimed that nearly, 3,500 patients, including women and children, were provided free medical
facilities and medicines by specialist doctors present.
ISPR further added, “100 eye surgeries were also performed besides important diagnosis test of ECG, ultrasou
nd, hepatitis screening etc. Free ration packs were also distributed amongst
150 families.”
“The medical camp provided much-needed health care to the local population. Similar medical camps were established in Kharran, Gulistan, Badini, Shahraig, Naushki, Naseerabad,
Chaman and Ziarat areas which provided quality medical
facility to thousands of patients,” the military’s media wing maintained.
ISPR further noted that these medical camps had been established on the directive of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa
as a part of the reach out program for the provision of health care to the poor population in remote areas of Balochistan.
