tional personnel of the Punjab, the QAED also supports other provinces for the capacity building of their trainers and curriculum developers as well. “Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan will, in near future, replicate the continuous professional devel
opment and the promotion-linked training models of QAED”, he told the minister.

d that QAED has developed a pool of more than 20,000 teacher trainers on the latest pedagogical knowledge and skills for effective cascading of its capacity building initiatives. Dr Murad Raas appreciated the all-inclusive stratagem adopted by QAED to reach 400,000 teachers at their 53,000 schools. He admired the melange of resource materials and training modules developed by QAED using expertise from both the public and the private sectors. He was much admiring on the consultative expertise of reputable private educa
tional institutes used by QAED for its promotion-linked trainings of teachers.
Speaking at the meeting, the education minister promise
d that School Education Department will resume the pre-service teacher education courses in the 29 district campuses of QAED. He asked the QAED to coordinate with federal and provincial Higher Education Commissions for developing need-based syllabi for pre-service teacher education. He held the QAED team in high regar
d and assured Government of Punjab’s full support for its efforts to bring quality education in public schools.
